Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images, and providing critical information to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Duties

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric scans.
• Utilize appropriate medical imaging equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess images and identify abnormalities.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, alleviate concerns, and ensure comfort during examinations.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate records of all ultrasound procedures performed, including patient history and imaging results.
• Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and medical terminology relevant to the field.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Certification by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ARDMS) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn).
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing ultrasound equipment and understanding of medical imaging principles.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring comfort during procedures.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

• Sonography: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
