About the Role
AHCP is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Imaging/Radiology Technician to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care. The ideal candidate is skilled in radiographic imaging, committed to quality patient care, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by providers.
- Prepare and educate patients regarding imaging exams and procedures.
- Position patients and operate radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality images.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and utilize appropriate shielding techniques.
- Review patient histories and physician orders before examinations.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff to provide quality patient care.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiography, or related field.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Current Florida Radiologic Technologist License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and imaging equipment.
Preferred:
- 1 years of radiology/imaging experience.
- Experience in outpatient, primary care, or multi-specialty settings.
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems.
- Additional certifications in CT, MRI, or Mammography are a plus.
