ROLE DESCRIPTION

AGG is adding a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize Azure-based data pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable data flow across the organization. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, uphold data governance standards, and maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes and architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive Azure experience, strong programming skills in Python or Java, and proficiency in Snowflake, Spark, and Linux environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement robust data pipelines on Azure to ensure efficient data flow and processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Ensure data governance and quality standards are met, utilizing tools like Collibra
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and best practices
• Other duties as directed by leadership

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering are preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Azure technologies
• Mandatory skills include Azure Data Engineering experience, programming knowledge in Python or Java, and proficiency in Snowflake
• Familiarity with Spark and Linux management is essential
• This position requires 3 days onsite in NYC and allows for remote work for the remaining days

Must have no other full-time commitments, ready to engage in exciting technical consulting projects with our diverse portfolio of clients.
