ROLE DESCRIPTION
AGG is seeking a Java Lead with a focus on DPMS to oversee the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. This role requires extensive expertise in Java, Microservices, and the Spring ecosystem, with proven experience driving code quality, automated testing, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical skills with strong collaboration across teams to deliver high-performance, secure applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop secure and robust code solutions to enhance customer experiences and support digital automation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions.
- Achieve complete line and branch coverage in unit tests using JUnit.
- Build, maintain, and optimize high-quality software using Java, Microservices, and the Spring stack.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve performance issues efficiently.
- Implement automated testing with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Karate.
- Ensure application quality, responsiveness, and overall performance.
- Maintain code standards by addressing Sonar issues and eliminating vulnerabilities.
- Other duties as directed by leadership.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 12 years of experience as a Lead Software Engineer or similar leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
- Strong expertise in Java, Microservices, Oracle, and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Data JPA).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Skilled in BDD automation testing using tools such as Cucumber or Karate.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with architects and cross-functional technology teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of modern development practices including Agile and Scrum.
- Significant experience with JUnit, achieving full line and branch coverage.

Must have no other full-time commitments and be ready to engage in challenging technical consulting projects with our diverse portfolio of clients.
