ACCESS Family Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our Lamar Dental team. If you are passionate about providing quality dental care and helping patients achieve healthy smiles, we would love to hear from you. No experience needed, on the job training provided!
Position Summary
The Dental Assistant supports dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for patients. This role assists with clinical procedures, prepares treatment rooms, maintains infection control standards, and helps promote efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as permitted by certification and state regulations.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards.
- Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and other clinical support duties as needed.
- Support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Dental Assistant certification a plus
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but motivated candidates will be considered
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
