About The Role
We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of a Finance Process and Operations Analyst, who will support finance operations by ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes. This role will be 100% onsite for the first 90 days during training and will move to a hybrid position of 3 days in office and 2 days remote. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in journal entries and reconciliations and thrives in structured environments and enjoys problem-solving. You will work closely with peers, follow established guidelines, and contribute to maintaining financial integrity across processes. This opportunity is open to individuals located in Knoxville, TN and/or surrounding areas.
Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.

Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Perform accounting journal entries and ensure compliance with established standards
- Conduct accounting reconciliations to validate data accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze and solve lower-complexity finance-related issues within defined procedures
- Maintain documentation and support audit requirements as needed
- Accurate and timely posting journal entries in financial systems
- Completion of reconciliation reports and variance analysis
- Support for month-end and quarter-end closing activities
- Contribution to process improvement initiatives within finance operations
- ERP Systems for journal entries and reconciliations (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
- Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Microsoft Office Suite for communication and collaborations, task updates and approvals
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Finance & Accounting Operations, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Rotational Shifts required, including evenings and/or weekends, based on business needs
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently within a team environment
