Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring performance standards, professional development, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and oversee recruiting strategies for exempt and non-exempt positions, partnering with operations managers for job postings, interviews, and hiring.
- Manage onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS data integrity, ensuring compliance with policies and legal regulations.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees, resolving conflicts, advising on policies, and guiding performance management and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, overseeing HR documentation, workplace safety, investigations, and union-related benefits administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10 years of HR experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in recruitment, employee relations, payroll/benefits, and compliance.
- Preferred: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience with collective bargaining agreements and union environments is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and HRIS (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, ADP Run).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards, discretion with sensitive information, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
