Role Description
As a Hospice Team Physician, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients in hospice, ensuring their comfort and quality of life during end-of-life care. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Columbia, MD, with flexible opportunities for remote work. Responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, overseeing care plans, and educating families on treatment options. You will play a critical role in supporting both patients and caregivers through compassionate and expert medical guidance.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Hospice Medicine
- Experience working collaboratively with other Physicians and healthcare professionals
- Ability to contribute to Medical Education and educate patients, families, and team members
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine preferred
- Valid and active medical license for practice in the state of Maryland
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to end-of-life care
