What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Accent Family of Companies?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Box Wire machines (re-coilers) in a manner consistent with production standards and the quality expectations of our customers.
This includes:

This includes:
- Use machine control panel to set proper length, weight, gauge and feed speed.
- Transfer completed coils from hubs to belt.
- Visual inspection of coils, remove any quality defects.
- Using tie wire, secure the coil in four places.
- Use butt-welder and grinder to maintain continuous feed.
- Occasionally disengage equipment to remove tangles.
Requirements:
- Entry-level position.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc)
Physical Requirements:
- Walk and stand continuously.
- Manipulate, grip, grasp and handle coiled wire weighing 50 or 100lbs
- Lift up to 50 lbs constantly throughout shift.
- Lift up to 80 lbs occasionally.
- Bend, stoop and reach constantly throughout shift.
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
