We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving the success of electrical construction projects from initial bid to project completion. You will leverage your electrical expertise and project management skills to deliver accurate estimates, manage budgets, and oversee project execution with precision. Duties
- Prepare comprehensive electrical estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using advanced estimating software such as McCormick.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures to ensure projects stay on track financially and timeline-wise.
- Manage all aspects of electrical project execution, including procurement, scheduling, resource allocation, and supervision of on-site activities.
- Review and interpret construction contracts, NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress regularly, identify potential risks or delays early, and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, providing updates on project status, cost estimates, and any issues that arise during construction.
Skills
- experience in construction estimating with proficiency in NEC standards and electrical codes.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including cost control, contract administration, and project scheduling.
- Skilled in negotiation with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to optimize pricing and contractual terms.
- Proficiency in document markup and collaboration; experience with McCormick for estimating is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems installation on construction sites combined with hands-on construction site experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate teams, negotiate contracts, and present proposals confidently.
