Job Summary
Quality home improvement company with a 45 year history of leading the exterior shading industry in Southern California is seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative. You will be responsible for running in-home sales calls scheduled by our offices, writing estimates, responding to customer questions, follow up with the company offices and proactive management of customer issues post-sale. All appointments are set by the company, meaning no cold calls & no lead generation is required by you.
The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in in-home/residential & on-site sales, with a focus on building long-term client relationships & a commitment to integrity. You must have clear & clean handwriting, have a clear D/L license, have a vehicle free of damage and in good working condition. Weekday schedules have some flexibility but you must be able to work 3 out of 4 Saturday's a month. The average days worked by year end is less than 5 days a week.
The company is financially strong with a great employee retention. The average length of employment is 10.6 years. Most employees do not quit this position, they retire from it.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing customers repeat business while taking on new customers each day.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing features and benefits tailored to their needs.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively, ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and product offerings to stay ahead in the market.
- Provide feedback from clients to internal teams for development and enhancements.
Skills
- Proven experience with in-home sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong time management skills.
- Expertise in customer relationship building.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Technical sales experience preferred, especially in in-home product-based industries... Such as windows, doors, garage doors, framing, general residential improvement industries.
- Ability to perform inside sales activities such returning your customer's calls, turning in orders and restocking required sales literature.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to being punctual and responsive to closing business opportunities.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
