Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different

This role offers a balanced mix of hands-on respiratory care, patient education, and collaboration with nearby branches. You will support both the Clarksville and Nashville areas, working with a supportive team while maintaining a predictable Monday–Friday schedule.

Key highlights

• Work Arrangement: On-site.
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Driving Distance: Up to 50 miles one way (rare); typical distance ~15 miles.
  
  

Salary range

• $34 – $36 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
  
  

On-Call transparency

• 4-person rotation covering one full week per month; supports both Nashville and Clarksville branches.
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
• Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
• Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
• Performs other duties as required
  
  

What We Look For

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active TN RT license. KY license is a plus.
• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license
• Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
  
  

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  
  

Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations

• Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
• Hold a current CPR Certification
• Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
