Your Impact
As Quality Engineer – Metals, you will ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across our steel cutting, welding, powder coating, and CNC operations. Your work directly improves process stability, reduces defects, and enables scalable, repeatable manufacturing across multiple facilities.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
This role works in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure and regularly uses standard office and warehouse equipment. Employees must be able to talk and hear and frequently stand and walk, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

Your Impact
As Quality Engineer – Metals, you will ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across our steel cutting, welding, powder coating, and CNC operations. Your work directly improves process stability, reduces defects, and enables scalable, repeatable manufacturing across multiple facilities.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on quality support across steel cutting, welding, powder coating, and CNC operations
- Monitor process stability and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process and product issues
- Support disposition and resolution of nonconforming materials
- Partner with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues and maintain process consistency
- Review and approve inspection documentation, control plans, and process checks
- Drive accountability for quality requirements, including weld standards, coating acceptance, and inspection methods
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation for NCRs, CAPAs, and process improvements
- Travel regularly between Ohio and Mississippi facilities as required
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required
- 3 years of quality experience in a metals fabrication environment
- Strong understanding of welding and powder coating processes
- Hands-on experience inspecting metal components, including welds, coatings, and dimensional features
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between Ohio and Mississippi
- AWS CWI, WIQ, or equivalent welding inspection experience
- ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQA, CSSGB, or similar
- Experience with SPC, capability analysis, and measurement system analysis
- Lean or Six Sigma training or certification
