Role Description
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Field Sales Representative to support Accelerated’s growth in the Dallas–Fort Worth market. This role is primarily based in DFW, with limited travel to our Houston (IAH) terminal as needed for customer visits, collaboration with operations, or account support. The Field Sales Representative will focus on developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and promoting Accelerated’s logistics solutions through face-to-face engagement across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in territory-based sales and enjoys building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand a book of business within the DFW region through in-person sales visits, onsite customer meetings, and regular follow-up communication.
- Conduct targeted prospecting, cold calling, networking, and local outreach to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Meet with customers and prospective clients in person to understand their logistics needs and present tailored solutions.
- Support occasional travel to the IAH terminal for customer meetings, operational coordination, or account relationship management (limited and as needed).
- Conduct onsite evaluations, walk-throughs, and service assessments to better understand customer needs and build value.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Leadership to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new accounts.
- Prepare and deliver polished sales presentations, proposals, and pricing recommendations to key decision-makers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records of client interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, KPIs, and quarterly performance expectations.
- Represent Accelerated at local industry events, networking groups, and trade-related functions to generate leads and strengthen visibility in the DFW market.
- Stay informed on logistics industry trends, competition, and regional market conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (preferred but not required).
- Proven success in field sales, business development, or territory management—preferably within logistics, transportation, or a service-based industry.
- 3–5 years of verifiable experience in LTL/FTL sales, logistics sales, or transportation-based business development is required.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in conducting onsite customer visits and in-person meetings.
- Ability to manage a territory-based pipeline while working independently and exercising sound judgment.
- Must be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area; limited travel to IAH is required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for customer visits.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track leads and manage sales activities.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed performance expectations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to support customer success and business growth.
