Job Overview:
SpeedX is seeking a dedicated and efficient Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound freight, managing parcels for last-mile delivery, and overseeing the full life cycle of parcel delivery processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the transportation of inbound and outbound freight.
- Schedule and assign drivers for parcel delivery routes.
- Track and monitor the movement of parcels from origin to destination.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Handle any issues or delays in delivery promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and delivery status.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other software tools to optimize delivery routes and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety guidelines.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends is required.
