Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and proactive Operations Planning Coordinator to own and manage production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and ERP data management in a small manufacturing environment.
This role helps ensure production schedules, material availability, and customer delivery commitments are consistently met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and brings a positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong “can-do” attitude toward problem solving and team collaboration.

Our Work Environment
This position works closely with both office and shop personnel. The successful candidate will be comfortable spending time on the shop floor coordinating with production staff, verifying material availability, and helping resolve operational issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and drive execution of production schedules based on customer orders and available capacity.
- Coordinate daily production priorities with shop personnel to support execution of the production plan.
- Manage purchasing activities including supplier communication, quotations, and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate ERP data including items, bills of materials (BOMs), and production orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available to support production.
- Lead cycle counts and support inventory accuracy across the operation.
- Enter and manage sales orders and support customer quotations as needed.
- Perform ERP transactions for shipping and receiving activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve production planning, material flow, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical education in manufacturing, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience in production planning, inventory management, or manufacturing coordination will be considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems strongly preferred.
