Job Description: We are seeking a VIRTUAL Occupational Therapist(s) that is dedicated, creative, and fun to join our team doing educationally related Occupational Therapy Virtually, by attending IEP's and supervising a part time COTA that has 10 years of experience.
Your hours are all online as you will be attending online IEPS, filling in present levels of performance, creating goals in the IEP and doing consults 1 time a month for staff for school aged kids. You design your schedule during the day as you will be doing 90 percent Virtual IEP attendance for a small caseload. NO working weekends.
This is also a great opportunity if you are currently working full time, are retired or coming back from maternity leave and want to ease into things. How we are different and focus on you:
We offer hybrid or virtual only positions
Our hours are from 9 am to 230pm M-Th and Fridays are off so you can be home to enjoy for your kids, family and friends.
Therapists can choose to work only 1 day or up to 4 days a week whatever their schedule can accomodate and work online or do a Hybrid in a clinical setting so you do not have to travel. We are open to doing afternoon hours if that's how you want to design your schedule too!
Caseload is small no more than 15-20 kids max & usually no more than 1 child per hour.
We take care of your wellness by doing spa days, sounds baths , yoga, kayaking, rage rooms, escape rooms or visit local wineries or do beach family outings where you can bring your loved ones.
Focus on quality of care versus quantity of clients.
Get time to actually collaborate with parents after every session if you do direct services
You literally get to decorate, and design the space in which you work.
The role is perfect for those looking for part-time work with flexible hours ranging from as little as 5-10 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
· Attend virtual IEP's (Individualized Education Plans).
· Collaborate with OTs, SLP's PT's, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress notes.
· Participate in virtual IEPS fill in present levels of performance, write goals
* Participate in team meetings and provide input on student progress and goals.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
· Current licensure as a California Occupational Therapist.
· Experience working with children in a school and or clinic setting is preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
