Nights and weekends are for family. We work 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday because we care about our employees, families and friends.

We are looking for an awesome transmission tech to help our growing company. We know the transmission industry and we know what it takes to produce a quality product. We do not use inferior quality parts and all of our rebuilds get premium treatment.

Here at Accelerate, we offer our rebuilders the freedom to make choices and build as they choose (within reason of course, as we do have requirements regarding the quality and longevity of repairs). Here, you have independence and reign of our build room, make it your new home (away from home).

Our specialty is automatics, but any manual, transfer case, differential etc. building experience is a definite plus. Race building also a plus as we do, from time to time, build race units and welcome any knowledge and experience that you can bring.

Accelerate is a busy transmission & auto repair shop located near Austin Bluffs & Academy. We have several techs, a service manager and two owners that work in the business. Looking for a professional, easy to get along with individual who can perform transmission diagnostics and rebuilds. We are a low stress shop, but we tend to stay busy so we need someone who is self motivated.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Colorado Springs, CO, for a Transmission Rebuilder. The transmission rebuilder will be responsible for diagnosing, rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining automatic transmissions. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring quality workmanship, and collaborating with the repair team to uphold customer satisfaction standards. Additional responsibilities include adhering to safety protocols and maintaining an organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in working with foreign and domestic automatic transmissions
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, particularly in transmission systems
• Experience with electrical and computerized diagnostics
• Effective project management skills to handle multiple repair tasks and ensure timely completion
• Honest & trustworthy
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• 10 years experience
• Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment as required for transmission repair work
• ASE & ATRA certifications a plus
• High school diploma, additional tech school a strong plus
• Valid drivers license, clean driving record
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs
• Ability to follow instructions and strong attention to detail
• Experience using Mitchell or All Data & ATSG/ATRA manuals
• Desire to keep up with the industry through training and self improvement
• Desire for long term employment
