Founding Engineer - NYC (Onsite)
A well-funded early-stage startup building an AI-native platform to automate complex, large-scale commercial workflows are looking for Founding Engineers to join their team.
What will I be doing:
- Build and deploy autonomous AI systems and scalable backend services to power end-to-end workflows
- Work across applied AI and backend engineering, integrating with external systems and bringing intelligent products into production
- Collaborate closely with the founding team, owning projects from concept through to deployment and iteration
What we’re looking for:
- A high-caliber engineer with strong fundamentals and a systems-thinking approach
- Experience with backend development (e.g. Python, TypeScript, APIs, databases)
- Exposure to LLMs or AI systems, particularly in real-world or production settings
- Interest in automation, agents, and building intelligent software
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
- Strong growth trajectory and ambition - potential matters more than tenure
