Accela Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable & Medicaid Specialist to support our skilled nursing facilities from a corporate level. This role is critical in ensuring timely reimbursement, accurate tracking of Medicaid pending accounts, and strong communication between facility teams and corporate operations.
This is not a billing role—rather, this individual will serve as a liaison and subject matter expert, helping drive accountability, visibility, and resolution of AR and Medicaid-related items across multiple facilities.

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging across assigned facilities
- Track and report on all Medicaid pending accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
- Act as a liaison between facility business offices and corporate leadership
- Identify trends, delays, and barriers to reimbursement and escalate as needed
- Partner with facility teams to improve AR performance and reduce outstanding balances
- Provide regular reporting on AR status, Medicaid pending, and key revenue cycle metrics
- Ensure compliance with state-specific Medicaid processes and timelines
- Support audits and assist in resolving discrepancies related to AR and payer sources
- Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting (required)
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid pending processes and reimbursement workflows
- Experience working with multiple facilities or in a centralized/corporate support role preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both facility-level and corporate stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with healthcare billing/EMR systems
