Role Description
This is a full-time, outpatient role for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant located in Chandler, AZ. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will work closely with occupational therapists to implement therapy programs, assist in the development of treatment plans, provide direct therapy to students, document progress, and collaborate with other educational and therapeutic team members to support students' individual needs and goals.
Qualifications
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays, including autism, intellectual disabilities, and learning disorders
- Skills in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement evidence-based practices in applied behavior analysis and structured teaching
- Experience with assistive technology in educational settings
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
