Job Responsibilities
- Client Support: Providing supplemental instruction to individual students or small groups, monitoring student behavior and communication, redirecting inappropriate behaviors, and administering behavior intervention programs.
- Team Collaboration: Participating in the Problem-Solving Model-Response to Intervention (PSM-RtI) process to help determine intervention plans and Individualized Education Program (IEP) services, attending team meetings and providing input on student strengths and weaknesses.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and service delivery.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- An individual who is at least eighteen years of age; and can demonstrate the knowledge, have the skills needed to support the program to which they are assigned; and meet the paraprofessional requirements as defined in IDAPA 08.02.02, 'Rules Governing Uniformity.'
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting, daycare, or Montessori environment is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
