This role requires the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families to develop and implement individualized learning plans. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for supporting the educational and therapeutic needs of our clients.
- Instructional Support: Collaborate with teachers to provide supplemental instruction to students, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs
- Behavior Management: Monitor student behavior, identifying and addressing triggers and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Social Skills Development: Foster social-emotional growth through group activities, games, and discussions, promoting healthy relationships and self-awareness
- Clerical Tasks: Manage records, prepare reports, and maintain accurate data entry, ensuring seamless communication among staff and stakeholders
- Collaboration: Participate in IEP meetings, PSM-RtI processes, and other team meetings to ensure comprehensive support for our clients
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 18 years old
- Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills
- Meet paraprofessional requirements as outlined in IDAPA 08.02.02
- Experience working with children in educational settings preferred
