Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairing equipment, and installing machinery. This includes heat sealers, pouching machines, print bundlers, visual site verification technology, and various automation-focused equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure all machinery operates at optimal efficiency to meet the high demands of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on production line equipment.
- Conduct skilled maintenance work on equipment such as hot glue machines, laser printers, conveyor systems, small HP drives, gears, clutches, and box tape machines.
- Adhere to safety, maintenance, and production standards as set by OSHA, GMPs, SQF, and HACCP guidelines.
- Provide support for additional maintenance needs within the facility as required.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in operating basic hand tools, including a multi-meter.
- Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. A self-starter with high self-motivation.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in factory/production preventative maintenance and repair.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Basic electrical knowledge and understanding.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift 50-100 lbs.
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach.
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled, but generally mild, warehouse environment.
- Visual acuity to read labels, follow safety signs, and maintain awareness of surroundings.
- Auditory awareness to hear horns, alarms, and other signals in a noisy work environment.
- Overall good physical health to meet the demands of the job.
