About the Role
accel bi corporation is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer / Programmer Expert to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting and enhancing enterprise-level legacy mainframe applications in a COBOL/DB2 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain legacy mainframe applications
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues requiring software changes and testing
• Collaborate with technical teams on system enhancements and operational improvements
Required Skills & Experience:
✔ 10 years of COBOL development experience in a mainframe environment
✔ Strong experience with EASYTRIEVE, MVS JCL, CICS, SQL, and DB2
✔ Experience with VSAM, IMS, and DB2 databases
✔ Knowledge of TSO/ISPF, z/OS, and MVS environments
✔ Experience debugging and troubleshooting mainframe applications
✔ Strong technical and functional documentation skills
✔ Experience across the full SDLC and software testing lifecycle
