Patient Care Coordinator / Referral Coordinator Position
**This role is completely administratively based. There will be communication with patients over the phone and via email/computer programs, but no face to face contact with patients. Applicants should confirm they are open to an administratively based role upon submitting for the position.**
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of Experience in medical/healthcare setting.
Two years in a customer service role.
Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Must have experience processing insurance authorizations.
Must have experience processing referrals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
General Duties:
This position has an emphasis on processing Referrals for an outpatient Cardiology clinic. This can include surgical referrals and/or procedures. This person will work closely with cardiology staff to ensure timely and accurate authorizations. Referral/insurance experience is a must.
Salary : $27 - $29
