Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support audit activities by responding to auditor inquiries and ensuring timely completion of audit requirements.
- Manage tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax schedules, supporting documentation, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and accounting policies.
- Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by providing accurate financial information and insights.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting procedures.
- Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to process transactions, generate reports, and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all accounting records and financial reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, within a Corporate, Public Accounting, or Multi-Entity environment.
- 5 years of proficiency in preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Experience with General ledger accounting, Account Reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing processes.
- 3 years of ability to prepare Audit schedules, Supporting documentation for Audits
- 3 years of experience in Tax Compliance requirements, Tax schedules, and Statutory reporting.
- Strong Financial Analysis and Variance Analysis skills
- CPA or CMA designation not required but considered a plus
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
