Riteway Plumbing & Heating Corp., established in 1979, is a commercial plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection
contractor serving New York City and Long Island. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented In-House Plumbing
Shop / Material & Supply Coordinator to support our field operations and project teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, organize, and issue plumbing materials including pipe, fittings, valves, hangers, and fixtures
- Prepare and track in-house material supply orders for shop stock and job sites
- Maintain inventory control and material logs
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups to job sites
- Communicate with supervisors, foremen, and project managers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant shop
- Verify quantities and specifications prior to material release
- Assist with emergency or after-hours material needs when required
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of plumbing materials and fittings
- Experience in a plumbing shop, supply house, or contractor warehouse
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to read material lists and basic drawings
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to safely lift and move plumbing materials
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)
- Union or commercial plumbing background
- Experience with public-sector or transit projects
- Familiarity with material tracking or inventory systems
