The Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of large, complex multi-entity client portfolios. You'll have direct Partner access, manage and mentor junior staff, and play a genuine role in how the firm grows, including contributing to our AI-powered accounting tools.
This is a hybrid role with regular client visits in the Kent area (primarily Dartford and West Malling). Day-to-day office attendance is not required.

The Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of large, complex multi-entity client portfolios. You'll have direct Partner access, manage and mentor junior staff, and play a genuine role in how the firm grows, including contributing to our AI-powered accounting tools.
This is a hybrid role with regular client visits in the Kent area (primarily Dartford and West Malling). Day-to-day office attendance is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end month-end and quarter-end close for two large multi-company client groups (£50m turnover) and approximately six smaller groups
- Prepare group consolidated management accounts (monthly and quarterly) and liaise directly with clients' finance teams and external auditors
- Oversee VAT returns, Corporation Tax filings, QIP timelines, and all Companies House / HMRC statutory submissions
- Provide virtual FD/FC services including cashflow forecasting, KPI reporting, and board-level financial commentary
- Manage and mentor two senior bookkeepers
- Work with our engineering team to design and iterate AI-enabled accounting workflows and client-facing agents
About You
- ACCA member or finalist (FCCA or ACA advantageous)
- 4–7 years of hands-on accounting experience with significant multi-entity SME exposure
- Demonstrable experience preparing consolidated management accounts and statutory financial statements
- Solid working knowledge of UK VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, and Companies House requirements
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
- Comfortable using GenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) — able to write clear prompts and critically verify outputs
- Experience providing virtual FD/FC or CFO advisory services to SME clients
- Familiarity with Xero, Joiin, Iris Elements, or similar platforms
- Base salary £60,000–65,000 DOE, plus OTE performance bonus
