Responsibilities
- Perform as a key member of the band or ensemble, delivering engaging keyboard parts that complement the overall sound.
- Read sheet music, chord charts, and improvisational cues to execute performances accurately and confidently.
- Collaborate closely with vocalists, instrumentalists, and sound engineers to achieve cohesive live or recorded arrangements.
- Adapt playing style to suit various musical genres such as jazz, pop, rock, classical, or theater productions.
- Maintain keyboard instruments and related equipment to ensure optimal sound quality during rehearsals and performances.
- Participate in rehearsals to refine arrangements, learn new pieces, and prepare for upcoming shows or recordings.
- Contribute creative ideas for arrangements and musical interpretation that enhance the overall performance.
Experience
- Proven experience performing as a keyboard player in live settings or studio environments.
- Strong understanding of music theory, harmony, and rhythm essential for versatile playing across genres.
- Familiarity with theater productions is highly desirable to support theatrical musical performances.
- Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs), MIDI controllers, and keyboard instruments preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new material and adapt to different musical styles with enthusiasm.
