Duties
- Lead and supervise concrete crews, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid to meet project deadlines and optimize resource allocation
- Review construction drawings and technical plans to interpret specifications accurately and guide team activities
- Manage daily safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
- Oversee quality control measures, including inspection of materials, workmanship, and adherence to blueprint requirements
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, contract management, and procurement processes utilizing Construction management software such as ProCore or Prolog
- Supervise the review of technical drawings, interpret construction schedules, and coordinate schedule updates to ensure seamless workflow
Experience
- Proven experience supervising heavy civil or commercial concrete projects with a strong background in construction management software tools like Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, and Prolog
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures specific to concrete work and general construction site operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and managing construction schedules for complex projects
- Strong communication skills for managerial coordination, crew supervision, client interactions, and subcontractor management
- Familiarity with the use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing or other specialized equipment relevant to construction site activities
- Prior experience in managing budgets, contracts, and project timelines within the scope of commercial or heavy civil construction projects
