Pay Range: $75K-95K

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant performs general senior accounting functions from original books of entry through financial statements. This position is also responsible for coordination of information with various departments across the organization to assure efficient and accurate business functions. This position performs accounting duties essential to the operation of ACC Senior Services (ACC) facilities and supports the other members of the accounting department as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing general cost accounting; AR, AP; credit card reconciliation; expense reports; monthly time and payroll allocations and monthly account reconciliation.
- Preparing & filing tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Preparing and reviewing P&L statement with program managers.
- Preparing month-end reimbursement billing for grant administrators.
- Monitoring and updating security deposits; community fees reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual fiscal audit provide by an independent accounting firm.
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual Medicare and Medi-Cal cost reports and the preparation of the annual Medi-Cal audit.
- Reconciling bank accounts; reconciling deposits; addressing bank inquiries.
- Preparing monthly Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities and departmental Performance Reports.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts to supporting schedules; month end close.
- Preparing monthly narrative addressing operating variances to budget following guidelines established by ACC policies.
- Assisting with research & preparation of operating & capital budgets as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- Five years minimum related experience required.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience in general financial, cost, and fund accounting.
- NetSuite experience preferred; advanced skills MS Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Medicare/Medi-Cal billing in a Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
- Experience in non-profit environment preferred.
- Ability to travel within town to meet business needs.
- Experience or knowledge in the fields of adult and aging services, healthcare, or social services preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
