This is a full-time, salaried opportunity with a 7 on/7 off schedule. This means 7 nights on, working a 12-hour shift, then the following 7 nights off.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT
- Plan and execute barge and boat schedules within assigned river segment Identify short-term power needs for assigned river segment.
- Provide area planner with daily activity forecast and validate current plan.
- Provide functional direction to newer dispatching Team Members regarding activities in assigned river segments.
- Provide barge status, days in status, tow slot utilization within assigned river segment.
- Coordinate vendor activities within assigned river segment with a focus on generating fleet speed and barge capacity.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and government regulations.
- Initiate process improvements on work flow to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for...
You will need to have:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- 3-5 years of logistics competence in transportation environment.
- Competence in dispatching, logistics or fleet planning techniques.
Even better if you have...
- B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in transportation, logistics or a related field.
- Proficiency in using office productivity software such as MS Office.
