What you will be doing... Your IMPACT
- Coordinates and oversees day to day barge cleaning and repair operations.
- Conducts morning job briefings, and safety meeting with Team Members and contractors.
- Coordinate outside contractors, cleaning, and repair team.
- Perform environmental facility walk through (daily, weekly, and monthly) and file necessary reports in compliance with DEQ standards.
- Serves as safety leader for worksite and coaches Team Members on best practices.
- Communicate information regarding barge availability related to cleaning and repair.
- Conduct spot audits to ensure quality of work and conformance with company and Federal requirements.
- Oversees and directs Team Members providing maintenance, safety, and upkeep of facility.
- Order materials, supplies, and tools to ensure a continual workflow process with minimal interruptions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for...
You will need to have:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 3 Years of Barge or Shipyard repair experience is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must possess and maintain a valid TWIC.
- Knowledge of barging operations and river systems is required.
- Knowledge of USCG, OSHA, SDS regulations is required.
- Willingness to work additional hours/weekends to meet deadlines.
Even better if you have:
- Experience leading Team Members is desired.
- Crane Operator certification preferred.
- Proficiency in using MS Office software products is preferred.
