What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multimedia Account Executive position at ACBJ?
As an Account Executive, you will create and maximize revenue generation. You will work with business owners and senior executives across Tampa Bay to develop and execute local and multi-market media strategies through the American City Business Journals network.
- Build and grow revenue through strategic prospecting, relationship development, and account management
- Identify and engage high-value prospects using established sales processes and market research
- Develop customized advertising and marketing solutions aligned with client business goals
- Maintain and grow a diversified client portfolio across multiple revenue streams and products
- Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and revenue opportunities through Salesforce
- Consistently achieve weekly, monthly, and annual performance goals
- Develop strong market knowledge and business acumen within the Tampa Bay community
- Represent the Business Journal at networking events, client meetings, and company-sponsored programs
- Collaborate across local and corporate teams to deliver client success and long-term partnerships
- Actively participate in coaching, training, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:
- Two years of sales experience preferred; recent graduates with strong internship or leadership experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage both short-term opportunities and long-term business development efforts
- Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments and leadership levels
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
