What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant (Remote) position at Acara Solutions?
Acara Solutions is hiring a staff accountant for a 4-5 month contract position with our Houston based client. The person hired can be remote, based anywhere within the US.
Pay range is $34-45/hr, DOE.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping
- Processing sales invoices and payments received
- Processing purchase invoices and payments
- Processing expense reports
- Processing business trip orders and expenses
- Monthly expenses accruals
Bank / Stripe / PayPal
- Work with online banks and international payment systems (Stripe and PayPal) to process payments
- Performing month-end bank reconciliations
- Cash flow planning
AP & PO
- Invoicing
- Paying
- Managing Accounts Payable and Payment Orders
Payroll
- Payroll calculation and reconciliation, including insurance, tax calculation and withholding, and employee benefits
Fixed Assets & Inventories
- Handling fixed assets recognition, depreciation, and write-off
Business Correspondence
- Conducting business correspondence with colleagues from related departments of the company
- Communicating with vendors, banks, tax offices, and other counterparties
Excel Proficiency - Intermediate
- Confident use of complex functions and formulas, including creating nested functions
- Working with data arrays
- Using advanced analysis tools
- Automation through entry-level macros, understanding of data security principles, and document collaboration
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Higher education in a relevant field, at least a bachelor's degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar functions.
- Experience using Bill.com
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS, as well as a full range of financial workflow.
- Confident use of financial tools, software, etc.
- Familiarity with judicial practice in the relevant field.
- Languages: English (upper-intermediate/fluent)
- Accounting experience with international companies, knowledge in matters related to international transactions, complex tax structures in interaction with several legal entities of the Group will be considered as advantage
