Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential functions of the position (Other functions may be delegated as needed)
- Sets up and performs functional / final testing of circuit card assemblies along with top level LRUs.
- Sets up Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) equipment including Vibration and Thermal chambers along with performing the ESS Tests.
- Operates a standard variety of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, meters and any other special electronics test equipment necessary for testing.
- Follows formal quality and test / specification documentation, aided by a Test Engineer when necessary.
- Diagnoses the cause of any malfunctions found at the top-level assembly, lower-level assemblies and / or circuit card assemblies of intricate audio transmitting / receiving equipment and makes all necessary corrections with the help from Test Engineering and / or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Provides verbal and written reports as required.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned including electromechanical assembly and conformal coat masking, automated coating, coating removal & touch-up, bonding on CCAs.

- Qualifications
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF, along with online training capabilities.
- Ability to read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams / schematics, technical specifications and electronic test procedures.
- Testing abilities for Circuit Cards Assemblies and LRUs.
- Knowledge and understanding of all variations of electronics test, multilayered tests, the ability to analyze the results of any tests, and make appropriate adjustments or corrections to test set-ups as required.
- Aptitude or ability to perform rework on circuit card assemblies using basic soldering skills to remove and replace through hole and SMT components.
Level II:- High School Diploma and 3-5 Years' Experience.
- Thorough understanding of testing and troubleshooting of LRUs and circuit cards down to the component level including interpretation of a variety of schematics and wiring diagrams under the guidance of a test engineer and or Sr. Test technician as required
Level III:- High School Diploma and 6-10 Years' Experience
- Proficient understanding of testing and troubleshooting of LRUs and circuit cards down to the component level including interpretation of a variety of schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Perform rework on circuit card assemblies using basic soldering skills to remove and replace through hole and SMT components
- Minimal guidance from test engineer
Level IV:- High School Diploma and 10 Years' Experience
- Exceptional understanding of testing and troubleshooting of LRUs and circuit cards down to the component level including interpretation of schematics and wiring diagrams
- Exceptional soldering skills to remove and replace through hole and SMT components including very complex components with 100 pins / leads
- Must be a US Citizen
