Cost Accounting Manager (Electronics)

Acara Solutions has been providing manufacturing firms with our staffing services nationally for over 65 years. Our international electronics manufacturing client needs a Cost Accounting Manager for their San Jose, CA plant. This is a salaried direct position with strong benefits. Target salary range is $110K - $150K. This is a site level Cost Accounting Manager position. Prepare/generate daily and weekly operational metrics including, but not limited to: Shipments / Bookings, Net Production, Direct Material Issuances, Labor Incurred, Scrap Incurred/Remakes started.Analyze performance metrics inclusive of those above and others to understand plant performance and make recommendations to Finance Business Partner and General Manager.Work with operational department managers to understand cost performance, analyze period variances from standards or forecast.Support Finance Business Partner in preparation of Budget/Forecast/Period End Variance Analysis cycle.Monitor capital projects from ROI calculation, project approval stage, to capitalization.Support and manage all internal and external audit requests and resolve audit issues as they occur.Prepare Revenue Recognition testing analysisCoordinate with Shared Services Center on vendor/customer/GL issues as they arise.Coordinate with Shared Services Center and Customer Service to assist in AR collection efforts where requiredCoordinate/execute Quarterly sample audits of raw, WIP and FG material.Support multiple operational reporting schedules/requirements (cost savings, scorecards, QBR, capacity utilization, etc.).Support Finance Business Partner in preparation of quarterly RMA incident rate calculation.Calculate periodic RAW/WIP/FGI valuation including reserves and capitalized variance analysisResponsible for maintaining raw, FG and WIP standards.Responsible for understanding and reporting our production variancesResponsible for cycle count testing and YE physical count with Controller.Prepare market financial results bridge commentaryRequired Skills / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting of Finance Min 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment that includes at least a couple of years of cost accounting/costing.Min 5 years of advanced ExcelPreferred Skills / Qualifications:Oracle Aleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
