Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Therapist role at Acadiana Treatment Center, located in Lafayette, LA. The Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions for adolescent clients with diverse mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, documenting client progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care. The Therapist will also engage with clients’ families to support their involvement in the therapeutic process and contribute to clients’ overall healing and recovery.
Qualifications
- Strong therapeutic skills in individual, group, and family therapy, with a focus on treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and other mental health disorders.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to adolescent clients’ unique needs.
- Exceptional communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills to effectively engage with adolescents and their families.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills to maintain accurate client records and uphold compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care and achieve optimal client outcomes.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Valid clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Louisiana preferred.
- Previous experience in adolescent mental health treatment in a residential or similar setting is a plus.
