What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at ACADIANA OUTDOOR POWER AND RENTAL?
Acadiana Outdoor Power and Rental is looking for an experienced Lawnmower/Outdoor Power Equipment Mechanic/Technician to expand our shop team.
The ideal candidate would be experienced in diagnosis and repair of all major types of lawn equipment (mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc), with an emphasis on lawnmowers and 4-cycle small engines.
Experience in maintenance & repair of rental equipment, such as skidsteers, trenchers & mini-excavators a HUGE PLUS.
This is a full-time position which consists of 40 hours, plus some overtime & weekends.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Technical or vocational school is preferred.
Experience: 2 years shop mechanic experience required. Manufacturer-provided trainings/certifications preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- Good verbal & communication skills
- Clean driving record with experience hauling trailers (for delivery of equipment)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time. Bending and stooping may be required.
- Lifting and moving up to 100 pounds.
Environment & Physical Working Conditions:
Outside/Shop job. Must be able to withstand the elements (heat, cold, rain)
