Registered Nurse (RN)

The Acadiana Endoscopy Center is a team of dedicated and accomplished professionals utilizing state of the art technology and proven methods to provide exceptional patient care. We are recruiting for team members who share our passion for ensuring superior patient care in the field of gastroenterology and endoscopy services.

Responsibilities:

· Works the admit and recovery room, as well as the procedure room.

· Follows facility specific standards, policies and standard operating procedures.

· Makes informed decisions to provide appropriate patient care.

· Operates equipment safely and accurately.

· Performs pre-procedure assessments on patients and reassesses as needed during and after procedure.

· Provides patient with information regarding procedures.

· Maintains patient privacy in conjunction with company policies, HIPAA guidelines and all relevant government regulations.

· Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment and universal precautions.

· Displays respectful behavior towards others.

Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

· Current licensure for RN in the State of Louisiana.

· Current BLS/ACLS certification.

· One year experience as an RN is preferred.

· Experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy is preferred.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Very good written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills.

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

· Must be able to periodically lift 20lbs.

Hours of Work:

Monday – Friday, 6:45am to 3pm. Occasional overtime work may be required.
