Acadiana Cane Cutters – Lafayette, LA
The Acadiana Cane Cutters are a summer collegiate baseball organization competing in the Texas Collegiate League and have been part of the league for over 14 years. The organization is committed to preparing college students and recent graduates for careers in sports by providing hands-on experience and real responsibility within a live game environment.
We are currently seeking two (2) Data Coordination Interns for the 2026 summer season. This role is a critical, game-day position responsible for maintaining the official score and statistical record of Cane Cutters home games. Due to the official nature of this role, applicants must have a strong understanding of baseball and prior experience keeping an official scorebook.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Learning and utilizing Pointstreak software
• Keeping score for all Acadiana Cane Cutters home games
• Maintaining the official scorebook for home games
• Accurately scoring plays, pitches, and errors at an official level
• Supporting additional data and operations-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of baseball is required
• Previous experience keeping an official baseball scorebook is required
• Experience operating a baseball scoreboard is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, live-game environment
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, dependable, and trustworthy
• Ability to work collaboratively with team staff
• Willingness and availability to work all 24 Cane Cutters home games during the 2026 season, with up to three (3) playoff games if applicable
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
