The Behavioral Health Associate III position is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating the activities of the client care services program. This position will report directly to the Patient Support Manager and will be expected to coordinate the department in the absence of the Patient Support Manager. The BHA III will provide guidance and direction to staff and will encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. This position is a benefit eligible position, working Sunday - Thursday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.

Behavioral Health Associate III Responsibilities
- Coordinate the work and activities of BHA staff, including setting performance expectations in the day-to-day operations of the department and under the direction of the Patient Support Manager.
- Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage/build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
- Oversee admissions and discharges
- Monitor physical and emotional well-being of clients and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to appropriate staff. Prepare and maintain records of progress and services performed.
- Encourage clients to participate in social, recreational, or other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills or develop social relationships and teach strategies to promote client wellness and independence.
- May provide transportation for clients as needed, will need to successfully pass a motor vehicle screening.
- Ensure the well-being of clients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment, under direction of the patient support manager.
- Client safety is addressed through required rounds, completed timely.
- Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage client's emotions, behavior and participation in treatment.
- Provide safety and increase coping skills or clients and assist in developing strategies for helping clients to be as independent as possible.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
- HS Diploma and/or GED required
- Two or more years' experience in mental health required
- One or more years' experience as a lead or previous supervisory experience required
- CPR required

Salary : $18
