REPOST: Early Childhood (Pre-K Age 3) Classroom Paraprofessional

The Academy of Notre Dame is seeking a caring, energetic, and collaborative Preschool Age 3 Classroom Paraprofessional to support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students in our early childhood program. Working under the direction of the Preschool Teacher and Lower School administration, the paraprofessional assists in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment rooted in Catholic values and the mission of the school. The ideal candidate demonstrates warmth, patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children. This individual supports classroom instruction, student supervision, daily routines, and positive behavior development while helping to maintain a safe and welcoming preschool environment. Essential Responsibilities: -Support the Preschool Teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and lessons for children age 3 -Assist students during instructional time, center-based learning, play activities, and transitions throughout the day -Help foster students’ social, emotional, language, and early academic development -Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, rest time, arrival, and dismissal -Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and maintenance of a clean and engaging learning environment -Support students with toileting, self-help skills, and other age-appropriate needs as necessary -Encourage positive behavior, kindness, independence, and cooperation among students -Assist with toileting as necessary -Work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student success -Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues -Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development as requested -Uphold and support the Catholic mission and values of the Academy of Notre Dame
