The Academy of Notre Dame is seeking two caring, collaborative, and student-centered Elementary School Classroom Paraprofessionals to support students in Grades 1–5 beginning in the upcoming school year. These positions work under the direction of the Lower School Principal, Intervention Lead Teacher, and Classroom Teacher to help create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Position Summary:
The Elementary School Classroom Paraprofessional provides instructional, behavioral, and organizational support within the classroom setting to help students access curriculum and succeed academically and socially. Paraprofessionals collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to support individual students, small groups, and whole-class activities throughout the school day.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support classroom teachers in implementing daily instructional activities and routines
Provide academic assistance to students individually and in small groups in literacy, mathematics, and other subject areas
Reinforce teacher-led instruction and intervention strategies
Assist students with organization, focus, task completion, and classroom participation
Support differentiated instruction and accommodations for diverse learners
Help maintain a safe, positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
Assist with classroom preparation, organization of materials, and learning centers
Monitor and supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned duties
Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention staff, counselors, and administration to support student success
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism regarding student information
Foster positive relationships with students, faculty, and families
Support the mission, values, and Catholic identity of the school community
