What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Academy of Natural Therapy, Inc.?
The essential functions of the Technician position include: Assisting with Maintenance projects of the school, clinic, and building. This is a 100 year old building that is on the historic registrar. It has basement, first floor, and 19 apartments on the 2nd floor.
Suggested Hours: 20-30 Hours per week
Basic Abilities:
The basic abilities required for this job include: being able to lift at least 35lbs, being able to stand for prolonged periods of times, being able to be exposed to various cleaning solutions, attics, and old parts of the building. May work with hazardous materials.
-The ability to be involved in strenuous and physically demanding labor.
-The ability to use equipment needed to repair and fix the building.
-Shovel once a day when it snows & Ice all sidewalks.
-Respond and fix apartment repair requests.
-Walk thru entire building and inspect boiler, pools, storage areas, laundry areas, basements, school and clinic areas and all areas each time you work.
-Need to complete repair tasks as needed.
-If you need to purchase items to fix something, obtain approved from James or Jennifer first. We will give you a check to purchase items.
-May need to repair minor HVAC, Pool maintenance, painting, minor window repair, wood refinish, paint, sheet rock repair, minor roof repair, light electrical and light plumbing, apartment clean out. Refer when necessary
-May need to help with occasional spring floods.
-Event set up and take down.
-May need to climb in the attics to repair items.
Pay: $20.00 - $31.33 per hour
