Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EKG Instructor to lead our educational efforts in electrocardiogram (EKG) technology. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in teaching adult learners, curriculum development, and classroom management. As an EKG Instructor, you will deliver engaging lessons, develop instructional materials, and support students in mastering essential skills related to cardiac monitoring and interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive instruction on EKG procedures, interpretation, and related clinical skills to adult learners.
- Develop and update curriculum materials aligned with current standards and best practices in cardiac monitoring.
- Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance classroom engagement and student understanding.
- Manage classroom activities to foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress through evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support their professional development.
- Collaborate with program coordinators to ensure course objectives are met and instructional quality is maintained.
- Incorporate adult education principles and university-level teaching techniques into lesson planning and delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience teaching EKG technology or related medical courses in a classroom setting.
- Strong background in learning technology tools used for instructional purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum tailored for adult learners within a higher education or vocational setting.
- Experience managing classroom dynamics effectively while working with diverse student populations.
- Prior university or higher education experience is preferred, along with familiarity with lesson planning for technical subjects.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry standards related to cardiac monitoring and certification requirements is advantageous.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
