Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor with RN licensure to lead our nursing assistant training program. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across diverse healthcare settings, including critical care, nursing homes, hospitals, and pediatrics. As a CNA Instructor, you will deliver engaging adult education, develop training modules, and ensure compliance with health regulations while fostering a supportive learning environment for future nursing assistants.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive clinical instruction to adult learners preparing for CNA certification.
- Incorporate current medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care practices into training curricula.
- Lead clinical staff training sessions, precepting students in real-world healthcare environments such as hospitals, ICU units, and nursing homes.
- Ensure adherence to state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and health regulation policies during training activities.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to develop instructional materials, assessments, and progress reports.
- Monitor student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of student performance in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes adult learning principles and team leadership development.
Experience
- Proven clinical experience in acute care settings such as ICU or emergency departments.
- Extensive background in nursing home care, pediatrics, or home care environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical documentation, medical records management, and medical terminology.
- Prior teaching hospital or clinical instruction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Experience in training & development, precepting new staff or students within a healthcare setting.
- Leadership experience in nursing or clinical team management is highly desirable.
