We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join us in our mission to empower our students and enhance their quality of life through an innovative educational model with specialized therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy goals.
- Provide push in therapy services to students individually and/or groups in the classroom, focusing on improving motor coordination, sensory integration, and daily living and classroom skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' occupational therapy needs and facilitate skill development across various settings.
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation of student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with special needs.
