About the role
The School Director runs day-to-day operations across academics, instruction, and student services. You are accountable for student outcomes — attendance, progress, completion, and licensure pass rates — and for keeping the school in good standing with its regulators and accreditor.
- Lead daily school operations across all programs and both day and evening sessions
- Supervise, schedule, and develop instructional staff
- Own student outcomes: attendance, satisfactory academic progress, completion, and licensure exam results
- Maintain compliance with Florida Commission for Independent Education requirements, accreditation standards, and applicable federal regulations
- Oversee accurate student records, enrollment agreements, and academic documentation
- Partner with admissions and financial aid so students enroll, progress, and complete on schedule
- Handle student concerns, conduct issues, leaves of absence, and withdrawals
- Prepare for and support regulatory visits, audits, and reporting
- Work with leadership on enrollment targets, staffing, and program development
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5 years of experience in postsecondary or career school administration, or comparable leadership experience in education
- Working knowledge of career school regulation and accreditation
- Proven ability to lead and develop a teaching team
- Strong organisational skills and comfort with records, reporting, and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Experience at a school participating in federal student aid programs
- Familiarity with Florida CIE licensure and NACCAS accreditation
- Bilingual English/Spanish
